"Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures."
-John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) United Nations address, Sept 1961
What I like about this quote is that while President Kennedy was obviously talking about the world situation, about establishing world peace, it also works really well if you apply the worlds toward INNER peace. Isn't this the process that we all go through to attain higher states of consciousness and become at peace with ourselves? We change our minds, and our thoughts, to reflect what we learn and experience. We gently and quietly build new patterns and practices that help to bring peace to both our inner and outer worlds.
