It is our nature to be kind. And most of the time, kindness comes easily to us, especially when we’re on the path and everything is going our way. The difficulty comes when we encounter an obstacle – maybe a large, rude, imposing obstacle! Those are the times we need to remind ourselves to be kind. Those are the times that some may say we are “tested.” How kind are we really? How patient? How loving? How understanding? Because we are human, there may be times when we need to make a greater effort to express kindness. But the more often we do so, and see the far-reaching effects that kindness has, the easier it gets.
